What to expect
Nestled above the township of Victor Harbor, our RV Park and Camp Stay is surrounded by nature with breathtaking views of the Fleurieu coastline. While we are less than a 5-minute drive to central Victor Harbor, we’re also connected to the town and beaches via Hindmarsh River trails and bike paths – a scenic 20-minute walk or a leisurely 30-minute stroll.
Here, you’ll find a true escape. Close to the conveniences of the town yet surrounded by scrubland, you’ll feel miles away from the bustle of busy coastal life.
Our Community, Your Responsibility
Cooinda Retreats is not just a place to stay; it’s a community of like-minded travellers who value the environment and respect for our shared space. Staying here means embracing:
- Quiet Evenings: Low noise is requested in the evenings, with quiet hours from 10:30 PM to morning, to respect our semi-rural neighbours and fellow campers.
- Grass Care: Our beautiful green lawns are a highlight of the site. Floor mats are not permitted on established grass areas to protect the turf. If you place items on the ground, please rotate them to prevent damage.
- Dog-Friendly Responsibility: Dogs are welcome for responsible owners. Dogs must remain on leads, waste must be cleaned up promptly, and aggressive breeds are not permitted. If you wish to bring more than two dogs, please contact us via Hipcamp for prior approval.
- Shared Cleanliness: We all share the responsibility of keeping our facilities clean and tidy. This ensures everyone has a positive experience and reflects the community values that make Cooinda Retreats special.
Amenities
We’ve designed our facilities to offer comfort while maintaining a nature-first focus:
- Portable Toilets and Showers: These amenities are an added bonus to the self-sufficient nature of the RV traveller experience. As a community, we all share the responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of these facilities.
- Potable Water: Available at all sites.
- Greywater Use: Permitted to surface with the use of non-toxic products to minimise environmental impact.
- Waste Management: We recycle drink bottles and cans (please remove lids), but ask that all other rubbish is taken with you.
- Communal Spaces: Enjoy our inviting camp kitchen with alfresco dining, strung with beautiful festoon lights, and a cosy communal fire pit for starry evenings.
